 I immediately started to use what I learned in my role. Literally the next day. The material is obvious when discussed in a classroom setting, generally being a common-sense approach, but it was great to explain these areas in a safe environment, before being approached with some challenging situations soon after completing the course. It is easy to not necessarily do the best course of action in ‘the real world’ when faced with a situation, but this course was a great prep tool to give me the confidence I could engage in these challenging events. The flexibility of my assessment was fantastic. The ability to mix written and spoken assessment meant that I could develop both skills, and dive more into my experiences in different formats. It was great to have the time to think about my answers and be able to respond at a later date, and the conversation format was incredibly useful to dissect my views and evaluate my answers.

Overview

Are you a newly promoted manager, team leader or supervisor?  Or maybe you are aiming to move into a management role within the next 12 months?

Our Level 3 Leadership and Management qualification offers  transferable and practical skills.  These skills will enable you to manage your team well and achieve a high level of performance. It is our most popular ILM qualification. We have supported hundreds of managers, supervisors and team leaders to achieve the qualification.  Many have progressed into senior roles. And they recommend the programme to their colleagues.

We offer a 3 module option for the Level 3 Award:

  • Leading and Motivating a Team Effectively
  • Understanding Performance Management
  • Understanding Conflict Management in the Workplace

And we offer a 4 module option which includes the above modules PLUS

  • Understanding the Communication Process in the Workplace (this module is provided online).

How is the course delivered?

Open Classroom Courses

We run the Level 3 Award in-person over 3 consecutive days at venues in Central London.  The 3 training days will provide you with all the learning you require to complete your assignments and achieve the qualification.

For in-house teams (minimum of 4 learners) we can deliver the 3-day course on your site.

In-house teams can build a 3 or 4 module course using any of these modules:

  • Understanding how to manage remote workers
  • Understanding stress management in the workplace
  • Managing workplace projects
  • Leading and Motivating a Team Effectively
  • Understanding Performance Management
  • Understanding the Communication Process in the Workplace
  • Understanding Conflict Management in the Workplace
  • Understand the Organisation and its Context
  • Understand How to Lead Effective Meetings

Virtual Workshops

6 workshops delivered via MS Teams over a period of 6 weeks. Includes one-to-one support to complete assignments.

Online self-paced option

This programme is available via our online Academy for learners who prefer a self-paced option.

Resources

We provide all the resources you need including: practical short readings, videos, audios and our highly popular Hints and Tips sheets. We provide reflective journals for your notes.

Online Tutor Support

All our learners have access to online

assessment

Assessment is via a written assignment per module or you can choose to complete the assessment via a recorded discussion with one of our Assessors.  The recorded discussion is a very popular method with our learners and an approach which has been highly commended by our ILM external verifier.

Our Lead Assessor attends our in-person training days to provide advice and guidance.  This ensures you you are on the right track.  And we provide assessment support via video-call for those completing the programme online.
